Getting Uzhhorod
By Air
Uzhhorod has an international airport (UDJ); it is located on the most western part of the city, in Sobranetska 145 in Chervenytsia district. There are flights only to/from Kyiv, Simferopol and Moscow

By Rail
Visitors can get Uzhhorod easy by train from many destinations, Uzhhorod has a good train station with restaurants, shops and even a hotel, the station is at Stantsiyna 9 at the south end of the town.
Four daily trains connect Kyiv and Uzhhorod, via Lviv, train journey takes 18 hours. There are also train service from Uzhhorod to Lviv (8 hours, twice daily), Solotvyno (7˝ hours, daily), Chernivtsi (14 hours) and Kharkiv (30 hours). Additionally, there is a train to Moscow (33 hours, daily) passing Lviv and Kyiv. As Uzhhorod is the last point before the Ukrainian border there are train connections to Budapest (Hungary), Bratislava (Slovakia), Koice (Slovakia), and Prague (Czech Republic).
By Bus
The Bus Station in Uzhhorod is located in Zaliznychna 2 near to the Train Station. There are daily buses to Nyíregyháza (Hungary), Koice (3 hours, at least two daily) in Slovakia, Michalovce (Slovakia), Krakow (Poland), and from Kiev (14 hours), Lviv (6 hours, four a day), Chernivtsi (12 hours, twice daily), and Rakhiv (8 hours).
If you travel from Budapest, you can get Uzhhorod via the M06 highway. |
